Stella Forbes, Spa owner, was born and raised in Davis. She attended college in
San Luis Obispo and returned to the Davis area in 1988. After attending Federico's in 1988 she began working with her mother at their first location of SAS, later the second and finally opening the Spa at 310 C street in 1999. Stella has studied Ayervedic healing and has received advanced certifications in aromatherapy, chemical peels and clinical skin care from the Institute of Esthetics Sothys in Miami Florida. She finds great satisfaction is providing Davisites a place of relaxation and healing. She has participated in various charities within Yolo and Sacramento County and has a strong belief in the pay it forward practice.
Stella enjoys spending time with her four sons, Jeff and Corey who are both grown and attending college and the twins, Zach and Dylan who are first graders at Fairfield Elementary here in Davis.
In her free time Stella enjoys long walks on the beach, beautiful drives along the coast on a spring day, the crisp beauty of an autumn morning and hiking in the mountains, but alas free time has been elusive for the past few years!
Jeff Schmidt was born in San Luis Obispo California and moved with his family to Dixon in 1990. After graduating high school in Dixon he went on to attend college in San Luis Obispo and then later CSU Sacramento, where he is pursuing a Government Degree. He went to The Massage Therapy Institute in Sacramento in 2006 and has been a Certified Massage Therapist for the past two years. His specialties are Hot Stone and Deep Tissue Massage.
When not studying like a true scholar, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as surfing, snowboarding and hiking the hills with his dog Layla.

Danya Simons was born in Woodland California. She was raised in this area and graduated from Davis high school. Danya joined the SAS family about six years ago and loves the calm atmosphere and great people she meets everyday! She is currently pursuing a teaching degree and hopes to one day teach elementary school in Davis.
Danya enjoys travelling to far and exotic places and spending time with family and friends when not chasing the little Forbes' boys and managing the busy life of the Spa.
Alicia Hudson was born and raised in Dixon California. After graduating from
Dixon high school she went on to attend college and is pursuing a degree in Communications. She hopes to one day be on your local news channel! Alicia has been with the SAS family for over three years now and looks forward to coming into work each and every day.
In her free time Alicia enjoys Pilates, kitties, popcorn and a good movie, not necessarily in that order!
Eva Vasquez grew up in Guadalejara, Mexico. She moved to California and attended Davis senior high School. After graduating she attended Woodland Beauty College to receive her degree as a Cosmetologist. She has been a part of the SAS family for over seven years and finds great satisfaction in her career at the Spa.
Eva lives in Woodland with her husband, enjoys her family and loves spending time with her niece and nephew. She travels often to Mexico to visit relatives.
Rachel Callahan is our highly trained make-up artist/esthetician.She has received various training from MAC cosmetics,Trucco and Bare Escentuals. With a love for make-up and a passion for skin care,she truly loves helping people look and feel better about themselves from the inside out. In 2006 after graduating from Le Melange Academy in Napa CA, Rachel furthered her education and received advanced training with the Dermal Institute.
Rachel is easy going and very friendly. She enjoys singing,spending time with her husband Bryan and is a children's teacher at her church.
Lisa Lais went to school at Le Melange Acedemy in Napa California and lives in Vacaville. She joined our team here at SAS in April 2008. She has chosen a profession that she has a great passion for and enjoys making people feel totally relaxed during a service.
In her free time she enjoys reading, walking her pet dog Nikita and spending time with friends and family.

Zoe was born and raised in Davis where she graduated from Davis senior high school in 2004. She in currently finishing her Political Science degree at UC Berkeley after spending a year abroad and travelling throughout Europe. Upon her graduation she hopes to get into marketing and public relations.
In her spare time, she loves to cook, workout and spend time with her friends, family and her puppy Presto.

Katie was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. She survived 4 years at CSU Chico, earning a Batchelor of Arts degree in Communications. In 1999 she became certified as a massage therapist at the
Massage Therapy Institute here in Davis. She went on to study several massage modalities at various schools throughout California. In 2002, Katie was awarded national certification by the National Certification Board of Massage Therapy and Bodywork. She ran her own therapeutic massage business until she joined SAS in 2005.
Katie loves using her extensive experience and talent to provide a customized massage for each and every client at Smooth As Silk. When she is not working, she's busy raising her two daughters, reading crocheting, doing yoga and generally enjoying life.
